- Production Change Protection. AtlaSent stops risky changes to production unless someone approved them, and gives you proof for your auditor.
- AI Action Protection. An agent’s tool access is not permission to act. AtlaSent gates the consequential tool call, keeps the agent’s provenance, and holds for a person when your rules require one. It is offered through a design partner program.
- Add one step to your deploy pipeline, or connect it to your AI agent.
- Risky changes wait for a person to approve them. Everything else runs as normal.
- Every change gets a signed receipt your auditor can check, without trusting us.

For engineers
AtlaSent provides authorization for consequential computational actions across high-risk execution domains: CI/CD production deployments, financial close and approval controls, and AI agent execution. A plausible request is not organizational authority. Identity systems can establish who or what is acting; tool permissions establish what the caller can technically reach. Neither fact, by itself, establishes organizational authority. AtlaSent determines whether this exact action by a human, AI, service, or automated workflow is authorized by the organization under the authority, policy, approvals, duties, resource state, environment, and transaction facts in force right now. The public model is deliberately explicit: Verified Identity → Organizational Authority → Authorization → Permit → Verification → Execution → Effect → Proof Each stage establishes something different. An identity assertion does not grant authority. An approval is an input to authorization, not the final authorization decision. Anallow does not prove execution. A permit does not prove effect. Proof is only as strong as the execution/effect evidence actually established.
Whether the caller is a release pipeline, a controller signing off a journal entry, or an AI agent proposing a consequential tool call, the contract is the same: evaluate before the protected execution boundary, issue a bounded permit when the exact request is allowed and a permit is required, verify that permit at the gate, and preserve evidence of what was decided and what was later observed. On a path configured and accepted as fail-closed, the protected effect stays unreachable when required authorization or permit verification cannot be established.
Five primitives, one contract, one evidence universe:
- Verified actor identity — identity can be established from an authoritative source without treating identity as authority.
- Organizational authority + execution-time authorization — AtlaSent separates standing, scoped authority from the fresh decision about whether this exact action may proceed now.
- Approval controls — a
holdorescalatecan require verified input from an eligible approver; approval does not silently become standing authority or execution proof. - Bounded permits + verification — issued permits are scope/time/resource bound, verified at the execution boundary, and replay-protected where the contract requires single use.
- Tamper-evident evidence — authorization, permit lifecycle, verification, and separately observed execution/effect facts can be tied into independently verifiable evidence without inferring later stages from earlier ones.
What AtlaSent does in 4 steps
1
Evaluate
A human, AI, service, or workflow presents the consequential action and its current context to
POST /v1-evaluate. AtlaSent resolves the applicable authority and policy and returns one of the canonical decisions — allow, deny, hold, or escalate.2
Permit
When the exact request is
allow and the protected path requires an executable artifact, AtlaSent issues a bounded permit token. allow and Permit issuance are related but distinct facts.3
Verify
The Permit is checked at the execution boundary for authenticity, currentness, exact binding, expiry/revocation, and replay state as applicable. The native system may execute only after the configured gate’s verification requirement succeeds.
4
Prove
AtlaSent preserves tamper-evident authorization and verification evidence. Native execution and effect are shown as proven only when the applicable provider/observer evidence establishes them; otherwise they remain explicitly unobserved or unproven.

Execution domains
CI/CD Deployment Authorization
Permit-gated production deployments. Pipelines call
evaluate before the protected deploy boundary and gate the native deploy on successful permit verification, not on a bare allow value.Financial & Operational Approval Controls
Close-cycle reconciliations, sign-offs, journal entries, and certifications bound to current organizational authority and exact action context. Approval evidence remains distinct from the final authorization decision and from execution evidence.
AI Agent Execution Governance
Put a real execution gate between an agent request and a consequential tool effect. Verified agent/workload identity is an input; it does not by itself establish authority to act.
Security & IT
Fail-closed protected paths, scoped keys, tamper-evident evidence, and SIEM export. Tenant and role boundaries remain separate from protected-action authority.
Regulated-workflow use
The same authorization primitive can be used inside regulated workflows with framework-specific control mappings and customer validation responsibilities. AtlaSent does not claim that installing an authorization gate by itself makes a customer’s system GxP validated, Part 11 compliant, or otherwise certified.Biotech / Pharma
Controlled-pilot patterns for clinical and life-sciences consequential actions, with explicit identity, approval, execution, evidence, and validation boundaries.
GxP change control
Authorization-gated change-control patterns mapped to relevant GxP frameworks, with customer validation and procedural responsibilities kept explicit.
